Handmade origami silk earings in lime green cubes with gold plated hooks
These earrings are made with green silk that has been hand-painted and then folded using origami tecqniques into in sonobe modular unit into an eye-catching cube shape my studio in the Cotswolds, is as light as paper and very comfortable to wear.
Finished with gold plated hooks.
Jennie Claes Artisanal Silk Jewellery was born from a simple vision of creating delicate, intricate but vibrant jewellery that brings a pop of colour to everyday life.
Every piece of jewellery is designed and made by hand by Jennie in her Cotswold Studio, each silk element is hand painted, steamed then treated as if like paper and folded with steam into an intricate origami shape. It is then set with either gold or silver accents to turn into beautiful modern and paper light jewellery.
Inspired by a love for unique, eye-catching pieces, I wanted to design something that anyone could wear, no matter their age or occasion.
Care Tips:
• Avoid getting your jewellery in contact with hair spray, moisturisers, nail polish remover, perfumes and household cleaning chemicals.
• It is best to avoid wearing your jewellery in the shower or when swimming.
• Store away from direct sunlight and out of high temperatures.
• Should you need to, clean your jewellery with a soft cloth dipped in warm soapy water and leave to air dry. Do not submerge in water.
